October Update of Parnall Aircraft Company

The last 6 months has seen quite a few changes within the Parnall Aircraft Company. We have seen both Lawrence and Murphy fly the nest after passing their respective college courses. Lawrence has moved into historic racing vehicle restoration and maintenance at Prodrive, and Murphy has leapt into the world of helicopters at Castle Air.

Parnall Family – Aviation History in Detail

The Parnall family can be traced back to St Austell, where the earliest ancestors (inevitably called “John” for reasons unknown) were employed as mine captains and engineers for the mining industry, as well as quarrying china clay. A couple of miles from Trelonk is a wood named after the family, known as “the Parnall Wood”
